Biosfloor® is a completely natural granulate, produced simply with the chipping and successive expansion at 1000 °C of volcanic rock: there are no additives. The insulator can also be provided in a non-hygroscopic version – Biosfloor H – to be utilized in rooms that may have residues of humidity or patches of condensate. Biosfloor ® is equipped with Ecologic Security certifications apart from the certificates from the physical-chemical tests
Any Biosfloor® thickness guarantees an insulating support, dry and stable for the next casting of the screed (cement, body-levelling, trass, etc.). Biosfloor thus shortens the building time. All of the hydraulic and electrical systems remain immersed in the insulator.
The continuity of the insulation and the great perspiration of Biosfloor® avoid the typical condensation which form in heating units on the floor when they are insulated with synthetic materials.
Biosfloor® is dry and natural and therefore does not hinder restoration work. Biosfloor easily levels any type of floor – old and new: floors in clay/cement, in wood, vaulted etc. The chip fills any interstice: a continuity is therefore created in the insulation which eliminates thermal and acoustic bridges.
