2026 CLAY – RAW EARTH
For living in comfortable and healthy environments

Clay has always been the best regulator of atmospheric humidity, absorbing the excess and then restoring it when the air is too dry. A room with walls, floors or plaster made of clay will have an interior humidity relative to the air varying between 40 and 60%, throughout the year.
Thanks to this natural process the air of our house is continuously filtered, not allowing fungi, bacteria or other micro-organisms to develop, safeguarding the health of who lives there and protecting the masonry walls or the wooden components. It neutralizes toxic substances, odours and smoke.
Clay also has remarkable insulation powers. Its considerable weight and its particular structure guarantee anexcellent acoustic insulation and thermal inertia (cycle of accumulation and slow release of energy). This means cool temperatures in summer and warm ones in winter. Coupled with wood or any other natural insulator it prolongs its life and improves the insulation features.
Moreover, it is hypoallergenic and ant-istatic (it reduces the accumulation of dust by 90%).
Clay is attractive – the different grit sizes and mixtures allow one to obtain tones which range from the smooth surface of a normal plaster to the shading of old plasters. The vast range of colours of clay can satisfy all chromatic needs without ever losing its natural tone.
