2026 FERMACELL – Dry Lining Walls and Ceilings
STABILITY OF FORM, BREATHABLE AND SOUNDPROOF CAPACITY
ACOUSTIC INSULATION, CAPACITY FOR SUPPORTING WEIGHTS
Fermacell is a high performance multi-purpose dry lining board for walls ceilings and floors. It is a fibre reinforced gypsum fibreboard manufactured from a high proportion of recycled materials in a fully recycling process. When it is installed as a partition wall it combines the performance properties of solid blockwork with speed and flexibility of conventional drywall construction. The Gypsum Fibreboard Fermacell are made up of 90% anhydrite, reinforced with 10% cellulose fibre and thus completely natural. Unlike plasterboard the Fermacell sheets do no fear humidity. They have an excellent level of mechanical reistance, reistance to fire and performance in damp environments. These characteristics offera a firm guarantee to the designer and the the site engineer the performance simplicity: the easy stucco work on the joints (without reinforcing strips) allow for the saving of time and materials. For the final decorative coverng (painting, wallpaper, tiles etc.) it is not necessary to treat the surfaces with an undercoat as the FERMACELL sheets are already primed in production. This also reduces the overall cost of the work. A strong breathable capacity and a good soundproofing is the ideal combination for a healthy living space. One can already construct fire-proof buildings F 30 – F 120 (german regulations= 30-120 REI Italian certificates) with standard methods and thicknesses of only 10mm. Even if permeated with humidity, the FERMACELL sheets regain their initial stabilty after being dried out.
The panels can be cut, sawn, scratched, sanded, perforated, trimmed, honed, screwed, nailed or stapeled down. On each nail embedded in the sheets a weight of 12 kg can be applied even at a distance of only 10 mm from the edge of the sheet.
